Some "first's" for the week...

First walk
he slept, so I guess that means he liked it...

First doctor appointment

He weighed 7 lb 14 oz and he peed on the nurse while she weighed him!

You think she would be prepared for that possibility when placing a naked 1 week old boy on a cold scale,

but somehow she seemed a little surprised and irritated.

Cory and I thought it was kind of funny especially

since she ignored Cory's warning that she should be prepared to cover him just in case.

Everything else went well, though

the doctor said that Corbin looked like a healthy and loved little boy

First REAL bath (since his umbilical cord fell off!)

Again, he slept...

He woke up as soon as he felt the cold air,

but was happy once he was in this cute towel

First time at Grammie and Grandpa's
and first time being babysat...
(okay, so it was for like 20 minutes while I ran home to get a cord for our video camera and to the library to return an overdue book, but it felt like a very long time to me!)

Don't worry, we didn't really give him any ice cream!

I normally enjoy taking pictures, but having a son takes it up a notch or two! We have been having so much fun with Corbin; he is such an amazing blessing from God!

CORBIN ARRIVES!!!

Finally after 11 extra days in comfort, Corbin joined our family on Monday July 17 at 1:59pm! He weighed in at 7 lb 10 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He has lots of dark hair; it looks like it needs trimmed around his ears already! Of course, we think he is the most beautiful baby in the world (not that we are biased or anything!). We have taken tons of pictures and I am sure there will be many more to come, but here are just a few to give an idea of how cute he really is!
