Corbin played with his cousins Julia and Kassie yesterday.
They had a lot of fun and so did Rachel and I.

First Hair Cut

The before - as you can see it definitely was ready for a cut -
we were always brushing it to the side so it wasn't in his eyes

Corbin has his first hair cut today and he did not like the process! He cried during the cut (I think because he was interested in the scissors used to cut it and he couldn't see them and he probably didn't like being bothered!)

It looks so different that it is going to take some getting used to, but since it's this short, he shouldn't need it cut again any time soon and I am sure that sounds good to him!

On these dreary winter days, Corbin spends a lot of mornings in his comfy and warm pajamas. The older he gets. the more he plays, and the more fun we all have together!

Half a Year Old

Today is Corbin's half birthday! I cannot believe it! Wow how time flies when you are having fun! And oh is he fun!

Rediscovering a Toy

When Corbin first got this activity mat, he loved it. After a little while, though, he seemed bored with it. We put it away for awhile and just got it out again. However,he plays with it a little differently now. He used to just lay under it and watch the lights (more like watching than playing), but now he likes to sit by it and actually play with the hanging toys and look at himself in the mirror. It's so fun to see him enjoy the toy again!

Another New Friend

Corbin got to meet another friend last night. Ethan was born just over a week ago. It was crazy to see him and think that Corbin was that size not that long ago. How things change in such a short period of time.

Determined...

We love how hard Corbin tries to learn new things. While he hasn't quite got all the techniques down, he has been trying to crawl. Here are some examples of his efforts from this morning...

He just keeps smiling! Although, when he's trying very hard, he grunts!

Whew! Time for a rest!

Up and trying again! He seems to think his arms just get in the way, so this is what he typically does - puts his arms back so if he does manage a little scoot, he ends up on his face!

Zoo Lights

We couldn't make it to the lights at the zoo before Christmas so we took Corbin the week after. It was still cold, but definitely not as cold as the rest of the month. It was a lot of fun; he loved looking at the lights and listening to all the music!
